Getting started with your Eurail/Interrail mobile Pass

Before you travel

Make sure you:

  • Have installed the Rail Planner app
  • Have your Pass number and last name (from your confirmation email)
  • Know that your Pass must be activated before boarding your first train

Good to know

  • Your mobile Pass is your ticket — it will generate a QR code in the app
  • You don’t always need internet access to show your ticket, but you will need it to set up and manage your journeys
  • Some trains require seat reservations in addition to your Pass
  • If you no longer plan to travel, you may need to deactivate your Eurail mobile pass to remain eligible for a refund. For steps, see  “How to Deactivate Your Eurail / Interrail Mobile Pass.”
