How to find out my train number?

Your train number is a unique identifier assigned to a specific train service. It can be useful when checking timetables, finding your platform, tracking your train's status, or contacting railway staff.

During the booking process

You can find the train number before completing your booking:

  1. Search for your journey and select your preferred train.
  2. In the list of available departures, look for the train details displayed alongside the departure and arrival times.
  3. The train number is typically shown next to the train type or operator name (for example, ICE 123, TGV 6123, AVE 03112, or EC 45).
  4. On the train details page, you can review the full journey information, including the train number for each segment of your trip.

If your itinerary includes connections, each train segment will have its own train number.

After your booking has been confirmed

You can find your train number in several places:

In your booking confirmation

Open your booking confirmation email or book details page. The train number is usually listed alongside each train segment in your itinerary.

In your ticket or reservation

Your train number is often displayed on:

  • Mobile tickets
  • PDF tickets
  • Seat reservation confirmations

Look for a label such as:

  • Train
  • Service
  • Train Number
  • Train No.
  • Train ID

In your account

If you booked through our website or app:

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Open My Bookings.
  3. Select the relevant trip.
  4. Review the journey details to view the train number for each segment.

Why can't I see a train number?

In some cases, train numbers may not be prominently displayed during the booking process or in certain ticket formats. If you cannot locate the train number:

  • Check the detailed journey information in your booking.
  • Review any seat reservation documents associated with your trip.
  • Contact customer support and provide your booking reference.

Important

If your journey includes multiple trains, make sure to check the train number for each segment. The departure time, destination, and train number together help ensure you board the correct train.
