CIV Fares: Availability and How to Book

CIV fares are special tickets designed to offer protection when connected to international journeys. These fares are still available; however, there are specific conditions and booking limitations customers should be aware of.

Availability of CIV Fares

CIV fares have not been discontinued. They continue to be offered to eligible passengers under certain conditions.

Eligibility Criteria

CIV fares are only available to passengers who hold one of the following:

  • An onward Eurostar ticket departing from London
  • A valid Rail Sea International ticket

Customers must present proof of these tickets at the time of purchase to qualify for a CIV fare.

Booking Process

CIV fares cannot be booked online. They must be purchased offline at a train station ticket office.

To book:

  1. Visit your nearest National Rail station
  2. Present your onward Eurostar or Rail Sea International ticket
  3. Request the CIV fare at the ticket counter

Important Note on Travel Protection

The level of protection offered under CIV conditions may vary depending on the train operator issuing the ticket. Customers are advised to check directly with the relevant train company for detailed terms and coverage.
