Can I add my train tickets to Apple Wallet?

You can add some train tickets booked to your Apple Wallet—but this depends on the type of ticket and the train operator.

Currently Pkpass (means your ticket is delivered as an Apple Wallet pass file) is available on Rail Europe only for Swiss travel passes. When booking Swiss travel pass Consecutive, you’ll receive two files per passenger.

  • A PDF
  • A Pkpass

For Swiss travel pass flex, after the rail pass day has been activated, you would have the option to download the ticket either as PDF, mobile, or Pkpass.

👉 In general, only mobile tickets (e-tickets) may support Apple Wallet but you might need to download the train operator app to add your e-ticket in the Apple Wallet.

👉 If supported, you will see an “Add to Apple Wallet” option when opening the ticket.

👉 Even then, Apple Wallet is not available for all operators or routes.

If Apple Wallet is not available, you can still show your ticket on your phone during your journey.
