How to know the departure and arrival train station names?

When booking train tickets on Rail Europe, it’s important to clearly identify the correct departure and arrival stations. Many cities in Europe have multiple train stations, and selecting the right one ensures a smooth travel experience.

Where to Find Station Information

You can find your departure and arrival station details in the following places:

1. During the Booking Process

  • When searching for trains on the home page, you can enter your departure and arrival destination.

  • On the next page, you can see the train schedule with the exact departure and arrival stations for your journey.

2. On Your Ticket or Confirmation Email

  • Your ticket clearly displays the departure station and arrival station.
  • These are written below the train number and ticket details.

3. In Your Rail Europe Account

  • Log in to your Rail Europe account.
  • Go to My Trips.
  • Select your trip to view full journey details, including station names.

Tips to Choose the Correct Station

  • Check the full station name: Do not rely only on the city name.
  • Verify station location: Some stations are located outside the city center.

When a city has only one train station:

Some cities have only one train station in such cases, the same station name will be shown, and no alternative options will appear on the search page.

Important Note:

Always double-check your station details before travelling. Arriving at the wrong station may result in your train being missing, especially in large cities with multiple stations.
