Eurostar Border Requirements: EU Entry/Exit System (EES)

The European Union’s new Entry/Exit System (EES) will be rolled out gradually from Sunday, 12 th October. This new border control system will apply to any non-EU nationals travelling with us to/from London, including UK citizens.

We’d like to remind you that this is a phased launch and there will be minimal changes in the first few months. From 12 th October, travellers may be asked to complete EES requirements when passing through border control, and some Eurostar Premier travellers may be invited by the station team to use a pre-registration kiosk.

All travellers should continue to arrive at the station at the recommended time on their ticket. This allows plenty of time for all pre-departure checks (ticket, security and border checks) including any EES steps that may need completing at border control.

In time, all non-EU nationals required to register for EES will need to do so every time they enter or leave the EU—so, every time they travel to or from London with Eurostar. For journeys from London and Paris, this will be via pre-registration kiosks. In other stations, EES will be completed at manual booths during the usual border control process.
