Iryo - Spanish low cost highspeed train

Iryo is a privately operated Spanish Highspeed train. The company is a joint venture between Spanish airline Air Nostrum and the Italian train company Trenitalia, and uses ETR 1000 train fleets (the same as Frecciarossa 1000) to operate Iryo services.

*These fares include a Full menu with seasonal products. The menu currently cannot be changed or customized with Rail Europe.

PASSENGER AGES AND DISCOUNTS

  • 0 to 3 years inclusive: Passengers within this range are considered as infants that travel for free with paying adults, however, free infant tickets must be issued for such infants. The infants do not get a separate seat assigned to themselves, and must travel on the adult passengers lap. In case a separate seat is needed for the infant, the infant must be booked as a child.
  • 4 to 13 years inclusive: Passengers within this age range are considered as children and are eligible to get children's discounted fare. These discounted fares for children are are currently not available on Rail Europe website, and our team is working hard to  get it incorporated onto our system.
  • 14 years and above: Passengers aged 14 and above are eligible to purchase the adult fares.

    • There is no senior's discount available on Iryo trains.

LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE

    Each fare on Iryo train has a specific luggage allowance which must be known by the passengers before booking. The same has been listed below:
  • Incial: One hand luggage & one cabin luggage
  • Singular, Singular Only You & Singular Only You - Abierto: One Hand luggage, one Cabin Luggage and one bigger piece of luggage.
  • Infinita Bistro & Infinita Bistro Abierto: One Hand luggage, one Cabin Luggage and one bigger piece of luggage. Also, a pet in a carrier is allowed.

PET POLICY

    Smaller Pet:
    Smaller pets are only included with Infinita and Infinita Bistro fares on Iryo train, with a limit of 1 pet, upto 10 KGs in a carrier, per passenger. Passengers holding tickets booked on other fares need to purchase the pet supplement separately. The cost of this supplement would be approx 10 EUR (subject to change by Iryo). This supplement needs to be booked directly with Iryo. 
    Bigger Pets:
    The bigger dogs, weighing more than 10 KGs can travel on the Iryo train this Summer (2024) without a carrier. The ticket must be purchased by calling 910 150 000 and declaration  must be filled in. The rules applicable, can be downloaded by clicking here. Do remember the rules to allow the bigger dogs i appliable only between June 17 and August 31. Also, the passenger and the dog will be the last to board. However, they will be the first to get off the train.
