Collected Advance tickets

Take your tickets and seat reservations to a staffed ticket office before the departure of your original booked train.

Station staff will issue a new reservation for a different date/time. You'll need to pay a £10.00 fee per person, plus any difference in price for new tickets.

Uncollected Advance tickets and e-tickets

You will need a Rail Europe account to exchange your tickets online. If you don't have an account, you can sign up for one.

If you have not collected your tickets or have selected e-Tickets as your delivery method,  you can exchange them as follows:

Go to " Your trips" and select the journey you want to exchange.

Scroll down and press the "Exchange options" button. Choose the tickets you want to exchange, then press "proceed".

Choose your new travel dates and departure time, then press "Find new trains".

Go through the booking process the same way as before, ensuring you select the same class of travel.
Get a "quote" for the exchange, then proceed to payment if you are happy with the price. Your new booking confirmation email will be sent out within a couple of minutes.

Tip: You can find the exchange button beneath the fare conditions of your ticket.
