Current disruptions

Renfe - High-speed services between Valencia and Madrid suspended

The damage to railway infrastructure caused by flooding in the Valencian Community caused by the DANA means that the high-speed service between Valencia and Madrid will be suspended for at least two to three weeks, a duration that may vary depending on the progress of the repair work.
Due to the damage caused by the DANA, trains on lines C1 Valencia-Gandia, C2 Valencia-Moixent and C3 Valencia-Utiel are also not running.
For their part, lines C5 and C6 of the Valencia commuter rail network are operating on a limited basis for essential journeys. The C6 Valencia-Castelló currently has 17 trains in each direction per day and the C5 Valencia-Caudiel has three trains in each direction per day.

Renfe - Strike on 24 November 2023

We inform you that, due to a strike scheduled from 00:00 a.m. until 23:59 p.m. of November 24th, disruption and/or cancellations of Renfe's trains are expected.

When a customer renounces the journey, the inscription "NO UTILIZADO POR HUELGA” (Not used because of strike) will be figured on the ticket, and the ticket will be refunded.

You can also be supplied with a new ticket for a new date or train, free of charge.

  • When possible, you will be offered to travel in another train with the same conditions of their previous ticket.
  • If the offered ticket is a lower class one, the difference between both tickets will be refunded. • If the offered ticket is an upper class one, no difference will be paid.
  • Please find below the list of trains cancelled:

What to do if you experience a delay

Please speak to staff on the train or at the station if you are delayed. They will have the most up to date information and can tell you what to do. Also, ask the staff to stamp your ticket with proof of delay. This will make it easier for you to travel on later trains.

Keep all of your tickets until you return home. They can be used to submit a claim to the rail operator if you incur any unavoidable additional costs (new tickets, taxis).

For more information, please see our Help article: What happens if I miss my connection. If you need to submit a claim, see: Submitting a claim to Renfe.

If you have tickets for onward travel on trains which are scheduled to run as normal, refunds and exchanges are only permitted as per fare conditions.
