Veneto Region: Friday, April 10, from 8:01 PM to 12:00 AM, Autoferrotranvieri staff will strike.
A strike has been called for Friday, April 10, from 8:01 PM to midnight, involving employees of companies covered by the National Collective Bargaining Agreement for Bus, Train, and Tram Workers.
Trenitalia Frecciarossa, Frecciargento, Frecciabianca, Intercity, Intercity Notte, Eurocity, Euronight and Regional trains are running regularly.
The strike may lead to changes to the service even before it starts and after it ends.

A strike by Busitalia Sita Nord Srl staff has been called for Friday, April 10, from 8:01 PM to 12:00 AM.

Bari-Pescara line: traffic suspended from 12:25 PM on April 7th between Termoli and Montenero di Bisaccia following a landslide.
Train service remains suspended between Termoli and Montenero di Bisaccia following a landslide in Petacciato.
Long-distance trains may be subject to route restrictions or rerouted, resulting in increased travel times.
RFI technicians are on site to begin restoration operations as soon as conditions permit.

Rome–Florence Line: Infrastructure upgrade works from April 11 to April 12, 2026
The infrastructure Manager scheduled infrastructure upgrade works on the Rome-Florence line to enable the implementation of ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System), Europe’s most advanced train control and supervision system.
- From 00:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, to 03:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, service will be suspended on the Rovezzano - Settebagni section (Rome-Florence High-Speed line);
- From 02:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, to 05:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 12, service will be suspended on the Orte - Roma Tiburtina section (Rome-Florence Conventional line).
During the work, trains will not be able to run on the Rome-Florence high-speed line and on the conventional line.
As a result of these service interruptions, trains will experience schedule changes, route changes, or cancellations.

Please be advised that a 24-hour strike has been announced from 9:00 PM on FEBRUARY 27th to 9:00 PM on FEBRUARY 28th 2026.
The "Pronto Italo" line 060708 (from Italy) and +390689371892 (from abroad) will be active from Wednesday February 25 th at 3 PM.

Trenitalia : National strike of FS Group and Trenord staff
From 21:00 on Friday 27 February to 20:59 on Saturday 28 February 2026, trains may be cancelled or changed, due to a national strike by FS Group staff, Trenitalia, Trenitalia Tper and Trenord.

Industrial agitation can lead to changes to the service even before it starts and after it ends.
Passengers who intend to cancel the trip can request reimbursement starting from the declaration of strike:
- up to the departure time of the booked train, for Intercity and Frecce trains;
- until 24:00 on the day before the strike itself, for Regional trains;
Alternatively, they can reschedule their journey, under similar transport conditions, as soon as possible, depending on seat availability.
Strike by the staff of SAD and Trentino Trasporti
From 21:00 on Friday 27 February to 20:59 on Saturday 28 February 2026, a strike by SAD staff has been called. The LDS trains of the Bolzano – Trento, Bolzano – Merano, Merano – Malles, Brenner – Bolzano – Merano and Brunico – San Candido lines may be subject to change.
From 00:01 to 23:59 on Saturday 28 February 2026, a strike by Trentino Trasporti staff has been called. Trentino Trasporti trains on the Trento-Bassano del Grappa line may be subject to change.
The strike may result in changes to the service, even before the start and after its conclusion.

- heading to Peschiera del Garda from Brescia can use the first available trains, arranged by Trenitalia Customer Service staff.

From 9:00 PM on Friday 27th February to 8:59 PM on Saturday 28th February, a national strike by FS Group and Trenord staff will take place.
A nationwide strike is called for staff of the FS Group, Trenitalia, Trenitalia Tper, and Trenord from 9:00 PM on Friday, February 27th to 8:59 PM on Saturday, February 28th.
Trains may be canceled or changed.
Trains guaranteed in case of strike.
For regional transport operated by Trenitalia, Trenitalia Tper, and Trenord, essential services are guaranteed in the event of a strike on weekdays from 6:00 to 9:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00.
The strike may lead to changes to the service even before it starts and after it ends.
Passengers who intend to cancel their trip can request a refund starting from the strike declaration:
- until the departure time of the booked train, for Intercity and Frecce trains;
- until midnight on the day before the strike itself, for regional trains;
Alternatively, they can reschedule their trip, under similar transport conditions, as soon as possible, subject to seat availability.
From 9:00 PM on Friday, February 27th to 8:59 PM on Saturday, February 28th, 2026, trains may be canceled or be subject to changes due to a national strike by the staff of FS Group, Trenitalia, Trenitalia TPER and Trenord.
The trade union action may imply changes to the service before and after its conclusion.
In case of a trip denunciation passengers are entitled to request a ticket refund once the strike has been announced until the scheduled departure time of Frecce and Intercity trains; for Regional trains, until midnight of the previous day of the strike.
Passengers can always reschedule their trip based on the same transport conditions and seat availability.

Guaranteed minimum services in the event of a strike
On strike days, Trenitalia ensures minimum transport services, listed below, deemed suitable by the Guarantee Commission for the implementation of Law 146/1990.
Trains that are on their way after the strike has started will still arrive at their final destination if it can be reached within an hour of the start of the industrial action; After this period, trains can stop at stations prior to their final destination.
Domestic trains
In the event of a strike on weekdays and holidays, Trenitalia guarantees the long-distance trains shown in the table available here.
In the event of a general national strike for the renewal of the collective labour agreement, which falls on a public holiday, lasting no more than 24 hours and starting at 21.00 on the day before a holiday, Trenitalia guarantees the long-distance trains shown in the table available here.
Regional trains
In regional transport, essential services have been established in the busiest time slots (from 06.00 to 09.00 and from 18.00 to 21.00 on weekdays; from 07.00 to 10.00 and from 18.00 to 21.00 on holidays).

Bologna - Florence line: from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm on Sunday 8 February, traffic between Bologna Centrale and Pianoro will be suspended for the removal of war remnants.
From 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 8th, by order of the Bologna Prefecture, train service between Bologna Centrale and Pianoro will be suspended. This suspension is necessary to allow for the removal of unexploded ordnance found in Rastignano near the railway line.
The scheduled end time may be brought forward or postponed, depending on the actual completion of the scheduled operations.

Due to works on the Rome–Naples line planned by the Infrastructure Manager, from 2 February 2026 to 30 March 2026 some Italo trains will be subject to timetable changes (including earlier departures) and/or partial cancellations.
The Italo trains affected are: 8158, 9951, 8925, 9955, 9995, 9908, 8963, 8967.

Trenord staff will strike from 3:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2nd to 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 3rd.
A Trenord staff strike has been called from 3:00 a.m. on Monday 2 February to 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday 3 February.
Regional and suburban trains in Lombardy and neighbouring regions, Trenord long-distance trains and airport connections between Milan and Malpensa Airport and Malpensa Airport – Bellinzona may be subject to changes.
The guaranteed time slots are from 6:00 to 9:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00.
To ensure connection to the airport, in the event of train cancellations, a non-stop bus service will be set up between Milan Cadorna (via Paleocapa, 1) and Malpensa Airport and between Stabio and Malpensa Airport.
Trenitalia regional trains on the Milan-Domodossola route may also be subject to changes.

- 2 buses every 15 minutes departing from Roma Termini and Fiumicino Airport and vice versa as from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm.
The buses will stop for passenger service at the following locations:
- Roma Termini: Via Giolitti, street number 10,

Traffic is suspended between Padua and Vicenza due to critical weather conditions that are causing the risk of flooding of the Bacchiglione and Retrone rivers.

High-speed trains may be cancelled and rerouted on the alternative route between Padua and Verona via Castel Maggiore, with an expected longer travel time of up to 150 minutes; they do not stop in Vicenza.

High-speed lines Milan - Bologna and Florence - Rome: from 12 to 25 August, infrastructure maintenance works on the line:
From Monday 12th to Sunday 18th August, due to infrastructure maintenance work on the Milan - Bologna AV line, circulation is suspended between Castelfranco nell'Emilia and Fidenza.
Freccia trains on the Milan - Bologna route increase travel times up to 60 minutes.
From Monday 19th to Friday 25th August, due to slowdowns on the Milan - Bologna high-speed line, Freccia trains will increase travel times by up to 20 minutes.
From Monday 12 to Friday 23 August, on the Direttissima Florence - Rome line due to waterproofing works on the Paglia viaduct, circulation is suspended between Chiusi and Orvieto.
Freccia, Intercity and Intercity Notte trains on the Florence - Rome route increase travel times by up to 40 minutes.

Italo train schedules have been planned with changes in departure and/or arrival and the sales systems are updated.
From August 21 to 26, 2024, the Railway Infrastructure Manager has established the resumption of the railway traffic between Vicenza and Verona at reduced speed along the concerned section.
All trains, including Italo trains, are subject to time variations of up to 25'.

The Railway Infrastructure Manager has established the closure of the Milano-Bologna line and the Firenze-Roma line from 12 August to 18 August, due to infrastructure works.
From 19 to 23 August, the Milano-Bologna line will be resumed with speed restrictions, while the Florence-Rome line will remain interrupted.
On 24 and 25 August, the traffic will also resume on the Firenze-Roma line with speed restrictions.

Due to works on the Milano-Venezia line established by the Railway Infrastructure Manager, on August 20 and 21, 2024, some Italo trains have been rescheduled and partially cancelled:
• Italo 8968, on August 20, 2024, is cancelled from Verona Porta Nuova to Brescia.
• Italo 8992, on August 20, 2024, is cancelled from Padova to Brescia and arrives in Milano C.le station at 21.35.
Salerno - Paola line: circulation slowed down from 10 July after the derailment of a freight train on 9 July
This not a strike but ongoing disruption due to derailment of Freight train on 9 th July.
Some trains are cancelled, some will run with delayed schedule, and since this disruption on the Salerno - Paola line, impacted trains will be both – Italo and Trenitalia.

There is disruption due Rail traffic interruption from 15th March - 19th March 2024 and the below Italo trains are cancelled.
From the 12th March the rail traffic is interrupted between the station of Ariano Irpino and Benevento as ordered by the Infrastructure Manager for technical inspection along the line.

What to do if you experience a delay
Please speak to staff on the train or at the station if you are delayed. They will have the most up to date information and can tell you what to do. Also, ask the staff to stamp your ticket with proof of delay. This will make it easier for you to travel on later trains.
Keep all of your tickets until you return home. They can be used to submit a claim to the rail operator if you incur any unavoidable additional costs (new tickets, taxis).
